One of the main reasons the team can't win is their lack of ability to score any goals.
In 16 games this season, they only managed to score 17 goals according to Robert Lewis, sports information director.
Unlike this year's team, finding the back of the net was relativity easy for one former PCC player.
PCC Alumnus Yura Movsisyan in 2005 led PCC men's soccer team with 18 goals and was named to the All-South Coast Conference First-Team and was the Pacific League's MVP.
In 2006, the freshman striker's breathtaking skills impressed pro scouts and was drafted number four overall in the Major League Soccer Super Draft by the Kansas City Wizards.
Movsisyan is the highest drafted community college player in Major League Soccer (MLS) and American professional soccer history.
Movsisyan was with the Wizards for two years and played in only 28 games, which he started six of them, and scored five goals all in the 2007 season. He also played 887 minutes, most of them coming as a reserve.
In 2008, Movsisyan was traded to Real Salt Lake from the Wizards for Real Salt Lake's natural 2009 3rd round Super Draft and 2009 1st round Supplemental Draft selections and a portion of a player allocation.
"I am thankful for Kansas City for what they've done for me. I wish them the best," Movsisyan said when being traded.
With Real Salt Lake, Movsisyan racked up seven goals and an assist in 22 games (13 in which he started).
He had a blistering finish to the season, scoring all seven of his goals in the last 11 appearances to earn his first Real Salt Lake Golden Boot honor, which goes to the player with the most goals.
His successes in the MLS lead him to sign a three-year deal with Danish football club Randers FC and will join the team this January according to Sports Illustrated web site.
"Yura (Movsisyan) is a great player and I was happy to coach him, and his success with soccer after PCC is amazing," said Director of Soccer Operations Cherif Zein.
Movsisyan success is a reminder that the men's soccer program has always been strong and is having a down year this season.
