With $1, students had the opportunity to throw whipped cream at their professors who sat down and awaited sweet punishment.
Professor Brent Keast said before his embarrassing moment, he was doing it out of respect for his excellent students. "I'm excited, it's my first time. It used to be dunking in water," said Keast.
As many students crowded the plaza to see the professors, Kirsten Maclang threw the first plate of whipped cream at her professor.
"It was fun to pie my professor because I just took a quiz," she said. Anthropology Instructor Derek Milne, who participated and has in the past, said that it's better than being in a dunk tank. "Once I had to dress up in a pirate costume on a high-dive," said Milne.
Professor Hugo Schwyzer, who was voted hottest professor in the country according to ratemyprofessor.com, also was whipped.
After it was all over, Schwyzer said it wasn't as bad as he thought. "I got some sugar on my mouth, but it's better than the dunk tank," said Schwyzer.
The event ended with Keith Gibson announcing the winner of two tickets to KROQ's Christmas concert. Gibson said that he thought that the event went pretty well.
"I hope to make 20 percent over what we put in. The money we make goes to six $500 scholarships for AGS members. We have the high-dive dunk tank event in the spring, it's a sister event," he said.
