WEB EXCLUSIVE - Titus Mack returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown and Joshua Morgan caught a 3-yard pass for a score from quarterback Eldrin Jones, as PCC set the tone in the first quarter on its way to a 32-12 victory over Riverside Community College on Saturday at Robinson Stadium.

"It feels good," said interim head coach James Kuk on his second consecutive victory. "The biggest thing is were pulling together and staying tight. It's good to be moving forward."

Kuk said he was satisfied with his offense's performance, especially cutting down last weeks 8 turnovers against ELAC to 2 against Riverside.

"Are biggest thing today was ball security," Kuk said. "We had 2 turnovers today, which is much improved, but it's something will continue to work on."

Kuk also confirmed that Eldrin Jones will be the starting quarterback going into conference play next Saturday against Bakersfield.

Jones proved why Kuk named him the starter, leading the Lancers on three scoring drives including the opening possession of the second half, finding Owen Dixon in the end zone for a 39-yard touchdown pass that put away the Tigers for good.

Linebackers Jeremy Aguilar and Adrian Ferns anchored a physical defense that shut down the Tigers offense most of the day, but was guilty of giving up the big play.

"There were a couple of [big] plays late in the game, but for the most part they played a solid game," Kuk said.

Defensive back Derek Mack turned in another stellar performance. Mack intercepted a ball in the third quarter and shut down Riverside's ability to throw the ball to the right side of the field for most of the game.

Receiver Titus Mack had his best game of the season, scoring on a 14-yard touchdown pass to go with his punt return.

Running back Josh Morgan was moving forward all game, pounding the ball into the Riverside (2-2) defense carrying would-be tacklers with him on his way to a game high 123 yards on 21 carries.
